Mi Band 4 Launched with Color AMOLED Display and Voice Assistant Support

As announced earlier, Xiaomi launched its latest affordable fitness tracker Mi Band 4 today in China. That pretty much sums up all the new features in Xiaomi's latest fitness band. Apart from the connectivity, it will also help in digital payments, public transport cards and more. The smart wrist band will go on sale in the country starting June 16.

Xiaomi has also added a microphone to the Mi Band 4, which brings voice assistant capabilities to the smart band.

Another novelty is the built-in microphone which enables the new voice commands and Xiao AI voice assistant.

As a fitness band, you can expect a host of activity tracking features that utilises a 3-axis acceleration sensor and a 3-axis gyroscope.

The Mi Band 4 is also available in an NFC version which allows you to make contactless payments directly from your wrist.

Below we've put together all of the details we've learnt so far about the Xiaomi Mi Band 4. There is also a Mi Band 4 Avengers Series Limited Edition that comes with three distinct bands, Marvel superhero watch faces, and a special Marvel Avengers' package at CNY 349 (roughly Rs. 3,500). As mentioned earlier, the device is equipped with a six-axis accelerometer, which is said to monitor physical activities like running, cycling, exercise, swimming, and walking.

True to the rumors, we're looking at a larger, color AMOLED screen (0.95 inches) here compared to the Mi Band 3's monochrome display (0.78 inches). Along with displaying information like incoming calls and text messages, the device also shows music playing on a device. Furthermore, the fitness tracker is 5 ATM rated and it can reportedly identify a bunch of swimming strokes, including freestyle, mixed-style, breaststroke, backstroke and butterfly.

Xiaomi Mi Band 4 boasts of notable improvements that include a coloured display and a bigger battery.

While the Mi Band 4 sports a 135mAh battery and gives 20 days of battery life, the Mi Band 4 NFC variant with 125mAh battery last up to 15 days on a single charge.
