Quentin Tarantino is demanding your silence over Once Upon a Time in Hollywood spoilers, but that doesn't mean you can't watch the new trailer, released in conjunction with the film's world premiere at Cannes. The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio as TV star Rick Dalton, who is watching his star decline. Meanwhile, Dalton lives next door to rising star Sharon Tate (Margot Robbie), who eventually met a frightful end at the hands of the Manson Family.

We've known for a long time that his new film takes place in 1969 and focuses on a washed up actor (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his best friend/stuntman (Brad Pitt), in addition to involving Charles Manson and Sharon Tate (Margot Robbie).

The preview doesn't really dive too much into that aspect of the film, and we've already been told not to expect a Manson movie here, but it'll be interesting to see how heavily the event plays into Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

Christchurch shootings: Mosque attacker charged with terrorism

Quentin Tarantino wrote and directed the film that also stars Al Pacino, Timothy Olyphant, Kurt Russell, Dakota Fanning, Margot Qualley and the late Luke Perry.

Stay tuned for those initial Cannes reactions, and catch the film in United Kingdom cinemas on 14 August - frustratingly three weeks later than the 26 July US release. Tarantino transports us back to the golden glamor and majestic time of 1969 Hollywood.

Once Upon A Time In Hollywood will hit U.S. theaters on July 26 and is set for a United Kingdom release on August 14. The movie is said to be similar to a "Pulp Fiction-like tapestry" that covers a group of characters during that summer.
