Jason Mitchell Fired From Showtime's 'The Chi' Amid Allegations of Inappropriate Behavior

Deadline also reports that the most recent allegation against Mitchell reportedly occurred off set during production of Netflix's Desperados, but the publication adds that Mitchell had reportedly engaged in "inappropriate behaviour" while on The Chi.

Mitchell has yet to comment on the allegations.

Recently, news surfaced that actor Jason Mitchell-star of the Showtime series "The Chi" was dropped from the show as well as by his management.

Deadline reports that Mitchell was first dropped from Desperados after producers learned of an off-set incident.

Jason has also been dropped by his agent and manager and has also lost a lead role in the Netflix film Desperados.

On The Chi, Mitchell plays a young man striving to do better for himself, his girlfriend and his family.

According to THR, Mitchell's costars Nasim Pedrad, Anna Camp and Robbie Amell all had complaints about the actor.

Mitchell has been on the rise since his breakout role in the 2015 film Straight Outta Compton, where he played NWA member Eazy-E.

He was investigated in 2016 for assault after he allegedly threw an 18-year-old woman to the ground in a Boston hotel, according to Deadline and TMZ. Since then, Mitchell has starred in films such as Mudbound, Kong: Skull Island, and Detroit.

UTA, Authentic, Netflix and Showtime did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for comment.
