Two window washers were in a lift basket at the top of Oklahoma's tallest building when it began swinging wildly out of control, the Oklahoma City Fire Department tweeted.

Two people, believed to be window washers, were on the lift when it became loose and started swinging. Video from the scene shows that the scaffold swung into the windows at one point as it swung out of control.

"This is a very risky situation", the Oklahoma City Fire Department said in a statement.

Paramedics evaluated the men and both refused to be treated.

David Macy said the two workers were pulled to safety around 8:30 a.m. after rescuers secured the basket with ropes.
