Black Mirror delights in shocking its viewers, but the biggest shock it pulled happened before its upcoming fifth season actually hits Netflix.

The season, which arrives on June 5, consists of just three episodes. It remains to be seen whether Cyrus actually performs her own songs in Season 5, but I'm choosing to keep hope alive that we'll get a synth version of "Wrecking Ball" in the near future.

Unlike previous seasons, this one will only include three episodes.

We'll find out when Black Mirror returns on June 5th.

The trailer makes it look like Charlie Brooker's dark anthology series will be tackling smart home devices, our collective obsession with fame, diminishing privacy and the awful sound of a bunch of unsilenced phones. This morning, the streaming giant dropped the trailer for Black Mirror Season 5, starring none other than the legend herself, Miley Cyrus.

Additionally, the cast lineup features Anthony Mackie, Nicole Beharie, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Topher Grace, Andrew Scott, Damson Idris, Pom Klementieff, Madison Davenport, Angourie Rice, and Ludi Lin, according to Variety.

It's been more than 16 months since Black Mirror fans have gotten any new episodes - if we don't count last year's Bandersnatch, that is - but thankfully, it looks like we won't have to wait too much longer.
