Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Anthony Joshua's fight against Jarrell Miller in June 2019 is now in serious doubt after the American tested positive to a banned substance ahead of the big clash.

The unified world heavyweight champion will press ahead with his planned USA debut at Madison Square Garden in NY on June 1, live on Sky Sports Box Office, after Jarrell Miller was refused a boxing licence following an adverse finding from a drug test. I'm going to deal with it.

It came to light Friday that Miller has tested dirty in a total of three random drug tests with three different banned substances found in his system (GW1516 twice, HGH, and EPO).

Undefeated heavyweight contender Jarrell "Big Baby" Miller addresses his fans and supporters in Belize and overseas with these words in a short Facebook video posted this evening after news broke earlier today of a second failed drug test in as many days.

"I want to thank all of my supporters who have stood by me since day one and especially during this extremely hard time", Miller wrote on Instagram. I handled it wrongly, and I'm paying the price for it.

"I messed up a big opportunity and I'm hurting on the inside". I hurt my family, my friends, my team, my supporters.

According to the BBC, Miller was previously denied a license to fight on June 1 after failing the first test from an earlier sample taken on March 20.

"But, I'm owning up to it".

Miller has protested his innocence and will await a B-sample, but promoter Hearn has drawn up a shortlist of alternative opponents for Joshua, and expects to make an announcement in the coming days.

"Believe me, this fight is going to happen", roared a jovial Wilder from his Alabama training camp hours after the Miller bombshell dropped.

Miller initially denied taking a banned substance but suddenly back-flipped and confessed.

Miller has now not only lost out on a massive payday and the chance to shock the world by becoming the unified heavyweight champion of the world, but he's now facing a lengthy suspension that will keep him away from the sport - most likely for one year.

"The heavyweight division belongs to me and I've known that for a very long time now, but I'm not satisfied with what I've achieved so far".

Joshua is still slated to headline the Madison Square Garden card on June 1 as he makes his first appearance in the USA, though now we must all play the waiting game as we see who steps in to take the place of Miller.
