Easter weekend: What's open and what's closed

The Eaton Centre will be open on Good Friday, Saturday, and Easter Monday but will be closed on Sunday the 21st.

On Friday, a portion of College Street and Dundas Street West will be closed between Bathurst Street and Ossington Avenue for the St Francis of Assisi Church's annual Good Friday Procession.

Pools are closed on Monday, except the Pan Am Pool, which is open from 10 a.m.to 2 p.m., and the Cindy Klassen Recreation Complex, which is open from 2 p.m.to 6 p.m.

Most grocery stores, including Safeway, Sobeys, Superstore and Walmart, are closed Friday and Sunday.

On Easter Sunday, Asda stores will be closed. In the Cumberland County Library System, the John Graham Library is closed on Good Friday.

Montreal parking meters follow their regular schedule throughout Easter weekend.

Transit Windsor buses will run Sunday and holiday schedules on Friday and Sunday, and operate normal schedules on Saturday and Monday.

Wegmans: Open regular hours on Good Friday and Easter.

Many municipally-operated recreation facilities will be closed on Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday.

- City Hall and all seven Client Service Centres are closed. Parking in these zones on Easter Monday will require payment.

There will be no Canada Post collection or delivery on Friday or Monday.

Under Quebec law, retail stores will not be allowed to open on Easter Sunday except for bookstores, flower shops, and antique shops. There will also be no collection Monday, April 22.

The Cornwall Public Library will be closed on April 19, 21, and 22.

Regular hours of operation are in effect for all pools on Saturday, April 20.

Brookside, St. Vital and Transcona Cemeteries are open at 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. throughout the weekend, including Friday and Monday.

Social Services offices - including Ontairo Works, Housing Services and Early Years Services - will be closed on Friday, April 19 and Monday April 22 over the Easter Weekend.

Montreal's corner stores and 24-hour chains, generally remain open all weekend, at the owner's discretion.
