Fire Breaks Out At Coachella On First Night

A fire broke out during the first night of Coachella, with social media footage appearing to show a row of showers in the campground ablaze. Campers said they heard "explosion sounds". Firefighters on the scene were able to put out the fire. The official Twitter account said at 2:28 am: "Fire Contained". Upon arrival, the shower unit was fully involved, near centre of venue.

No injuries were reported after a fire started at the Coachella grounds early Saturday, according to the local fire department.

"The water heater for the shower just exploded and caught fire at Coachella literally 10 mins before I got out..." The blaze completely destroyed one trailer in the process and damaged another.
