Google announced the change of course during its annual developer conference oriented towards Google Cloud activities, called Cloud Next 2019.

Apart from the integration of Google Assistant, other updates include new G Suite add-ons, Drive metadata, third-party connectivity in Cloud Search, and updates to Hangouts Meet.

Currents is launching in beta, and Google says G Suite companies can request access to the program starting now. It's a predictable move, perhaps, but it's also a very significant one because it means workers can use the digital assistant to help organize their daily tasks. That makes sense considering it's an enterprise feature for businesses taking advantage of G Suite.

Google+ started its journey to compete with Facebook and the Google Currents has the same aim, to compete with the Enterprise version of Facebook that is named as "Workplace". The livestreaming function looks to be especially useful for organizations that want to broadcast events they're hosting, since it can support up to 100,000 viewers at a time. Users had many complaints about it, and Google itself even acknowledged the problems with it. Connected Sheets is also being released in beta. As of publishing this update, Google+ is permanently shut down. The G Suite team has also built in the ability for admins to streamline certain posts by relevance in order to simplify which posts take priority. It has Google's AI built-in, helping transcribe voicemails and block spam, as well as a text-to-speech functionality to automatically create call menus.
