Steam is getting a complete makeover

In the top section of the new Steam Library page's design, users will see large tiles displaying the games they played recently, including when that last session took place, how long the game was played during that session, and how may hours the player has spent on the game in total.

Some of the key features for the re-designed library are listed below.

Steam's rolling out a new events system soon, which will give you a way to track and plan for what's happening in the games you own. The tags you see added to games on the Steam store will carry over to your library page. Clicking on the tab will provides a quick look at streams, title updates, tournaments, or anything else you need to know regarding games in your library, or those you follow. As part of Valve's renewed effort to combat off-topic review bombing, devs will also have a simple button to alert Valve of suspicious review activity on their games. This Events section of the layout will present players with more updates and other happenings pertaining to the games players have. "We want to build the foundation for a communication platform where all the interesting things that are happening in games can find their way to the customers". Players will also be able to set reminders about the events that can reach them by way of email, text message, phone notification, Google Calendar, or other options.

Steam is getting a fresh new look for 2019

Valve is overhauling Steam's library and injecting some new features into the areas that consumers use the most when organizing and launching their games.

Though no official date for the updates was given, the company did confirm that an open beta would be available within the next couple months.

There's no specific time frame for when you can expect to see the redesign, although Valve told PC Gamer that it was hoping for a beta in the summer.
