Let's go back to Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL, the two mid-range smartphones that the Mountain View giant is preparing to launch on the market with the aim of winning over those who want a "pure" Android experience and do not wants to spend a big amount to buy a flagship model. 9to5Google has independently confirmed the earlier leaked details and also revealed some new information. With Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL already carrying a high price, it makes flawless sense for Google to launch cheaper phones, as it will allow the company to target price-sensitive markets. The phones will come with 5.6-inch and 6-inch displays and will have some of the Pixel 3's features. Also, both these devices sport AMOLED panels and come in 18:9 aspect ratio. As seen on the Pixel 3 devices, the upcoming Pixel 3a smartphones will also come with Active Edge squeeze feature on both the sides. The phones will be offered in three colors: white, black, and Google's typical understated but seemingly random third option. There will be 4GB of RAM and 64GB of non-expandable storage on board the Pixel 3a, which is enough for a mid-range device.

The Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL are rumored to launch in the United States in early 2019 through Verizon. Under the hood is the 10nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 Mobile Platform coupled with Kryo 360 CPU and Adreno 616 GPU. You can expect a 12.2MP camera with an f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization at the rear, complemented by a single 8MP front-facing camera. Notch-deniers would probably be delighted to know that neither the Pixel 3a nor the 3a XL will feature notches, which comes of as a big relief seeing how the Pixel 3 XL featured one of the ugliest notch designs a year ago.
