Saudi Arabia must name the defendants on trial for murdering journalist Jamal Khashoggi and disclose all the charges against them, Turkey's Presidential Communications Director Fahrettin Altun said in a statement Thursday.

The State Department report says The Washington Post columnist was killed by agents of the kingdom while he was inside the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul.

A demonstrator holds a poster with a picture of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi outside the Saudi Arabia consulate in Istanbul, Turkey, Oct 25, 2018. "The person who ordered this operation is still safe and he is still leading the country", Assiri said, referring to Salman. Meanwhile, Beijing has become the largest trading partner of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Oman, as well as Iraq, Iran, Egypt and Lebanon.

Previously, Saudi officials have said 11 people have been indicted in relation to the Khashoggi murder and that five suspects will face the death penalty.

The head of a Saudi delegation speaking before the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva insisted that his country was taking all the "measures required for us to resolve this heinous crime". He gave no names or other details, however, as the suspects' identities have not yet been made public.

"We urge Saudi Arabia to tell the world which individuals are now on trial on what charge (s)", Altun said, to lay to rest any doubts that may arise about the "sincerity" of the judicial proceedings in the kingdom.

As Saudi officials continue to reject calls for an independent investigation, they have also continued to dispute accusations that the country's crown prince was involved in Khashoggi's killing.

"Justice in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia operates pursuant to global law and it does so in all transparency", Aiban told the Geneva forum during a review of Saudi's rights record.

The CIA concluded late previous year that bin Salman ordered the journalist's assassination, an accusation that has been echoed by USA senators and other observers.

Agnes Callamard, UN investigator on extrajudicial executions, said that Saudi officials have not responded to requests to cooperate with her investigation into the murder.
