The Raiders have released Jordy Nelson after one year in Oakland, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

McCarron is in the second year of a two-year, $10 million deal he signed with the Bills during the 2018 offseason.

During his National Football League career, McCarron has completed 87-of-136 passes for 928 yards with six touchdowns and two interceptions in 13 regular-season games.

He would have seen his base salary of $3 million for 2019 become fully guaranteed on Sunday, and he had a salary-cap number of more than $5.368 million.

A reunion with the Packers looks unlikely, given Nelson's age and the Packers recent tendering of Geronimo Allison.

"Normally, when you hand out a bonus for next year's season, there's a pretty good chance those guys are coming back", Gruden said December 28.

With the Raiders in 2018, Nelson played a featured wide receiver position that perhaps he might not had with Green Bay after having approximately half the receptions and touchdowns he had in 2017 compared to 2016.
