Jose Mourinho says Zinedine Zidane returning to Real Madrid is "perfect", insisting he is not disappointed about being overlooked.

The Frenchman sensationally walked away from the Santiago Bernabeu in May 2018 and president Florentino Perez has since sacked two head coaches in nine months during an underwhelming season. Zidane begins his second spell as coach on Saturday against Celta Vigo.

Only 284 days have passed since Zidane made the surprise announcement that he was resigning from the club after having just secured his third consecutive Champions League trophy. "If Bayern finally decide not to keep the player, Madrid will put him on the market for 60 million euros, an initial asking price that they won't drop any lower than 50".

Zidane was brought back after Real's season pretty much ended following their 4-1 humiliation by Ajax in the Champions League.
