HBO has confirmed that the first two episodes of the eighth and final season of "Game of Thrones" will be slightly shorter than the rest.

Another pointed out that HBO has counted "making of material" shown at the end of the episodes in their official runtimes, raising questions about how much of these times are devoted only to the story. Well, just prepare to carve out a big chunk of your Sunday evenings for the next month or so come April.

The season kicks off April 14 at 9 p.m. on HBO.

From that point, the lengths are edging closer to film length. That's a ton of backstabbing, dragon riding, wine drinking and zombie bashing for you.

Former Dolphins DE Wake to join Titans
The five-time Pro Bowler departs with the second-most sacks (98) and second-most forced fumbles (22) in franchise history. Defensive end Jurrell Casey (7) and linebacker Jayon Brown (6) led the Titans in sacks last season.

Wide Receiver DeVante Parker gets another chance with the Miami Dolphins

NBC renews 'Blacklist' for Season 7
The network made the announcement today as season six of the one-hour drama is now airing on Friday nights at 9pm ET/PT. Announced today, NBC has officially renewed the James Spader-led series for a seventh season.

Earlier in the week, fans of the show were able to sleuth their way around the cable network's digital schedule to get an idea for what "movie-length" actually means for each installment of the abbreviated season, and, as it turns out, they were pretty accurate.

While we now have the runtimes we still don't know the titles of each episode, leaving a bit of mystery still in the air. We can't wait to see what Game of Thrones season 8 has in store, but you can bet that you won't be left wanting after the credits roll for the last time. Between this and AVENGERS: ENDGAME this April will be one for the books, and for the tears.

The final battle for Westeros between the living and the Night King and his undead army begins with the Game of Thrones Season 8 premiere on April 14.
