Random ‘Fortnite’ Matchmaking Between Switch and Xbox, PS4 Not Supported Anymore

Where PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch players were previously grouped together, PS4 and Xbox One players are now in one group while Switch and mobile players are in another. As with all significant updates, this patch does require downtime, which usually takes around one or two hours. As of this patch, Xbox One and PS4 players are now in the same matchmaking pool, while Switch players have joined a pool with mobile players. At the start of this year, a bullet glitch was even discovered by Digital Foundry, revealing how higher performing versions of the game (on other platforms) had an advantage in battle - with the gunfire rates in these versions able to deal more damage per second than 30fps versions. The single-seat transporter features a grappler and booster to pull players up cliffs or through trees and can be found at Expedition Outposts and pirate camp loot stashes. Not only can you roll around inside this ball, but it features a grappling hook and a boost, so you can swing around the world with speed and control.

Vending Machines have also been tweaked with the Fortnite 8.10 update (Fortnite 2.08 PS4). While that sounds great, the catch is that vending machines will now be destroyed after they dispense an item.

The Getaway limited time mode makes its return, with players tasked with stealing a jewel and attempting to make their getaway. It looks like Epic Games just changed that up according to a new update, taking Nintendo Switch players out of the equation when it comes to the three major consoles. I honestly couldn't tell you if this new "Baller" vehicle is good because I, and everyone else I saw in one, was too busy larking about to play seriously.
