Pep Guardiola baffled by Juventus rumours

Pep Guardiola issued an apology to Watford over the award of Manchester City's first goal on Saturday, and admitted that VAR can not arrive soon enough in the Premier League. The club's attention will then turn to the Champions League, when they host Schalke in the second leg of their last 16 tie.

At 19 years and eight days, the Italy worldwide became the youngest player to score at least two goals in a Serie A game since 18-year-old Giuseppe Galderisi in February 1982.

"I have two more years here and I'm not going anywhere unless they sack me".

But the team now has Massimo Allegri as coach, with the 51-year-old leading the team to four straight Serie A titles with a fifth to come, while also finishing as Champions League runner-up two times. It was a relatively frustrating first half, but Pep Guardiola's team talks have done a favour and start quickly in the second part of the game to secure yet another three points.

SunSport however reports that City gaffer Guardiola after leading his armies to beat Watford 3-1 at home refuted the claims he will leave the Etihad next season for Serie A.

"If the first goal is offside, I am sorry", said the City manager. They are one of the best players in the Premier League now.

"I am not going to Juventus for the next two seasons".

And Guardiola acknowledged his side benefitted from a contentious decision from the referee, arguing that such mistakes will occur less often when video assistant referee (VAR) is introduced to the English top-flight next season.

"In the beginning of the season we voted for VAR to help referees but many clubs didn't want it and this kind of situation would be easier".

But the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich coach, who has a contract with Manchester City until 2021, dismissed the claims.

"I would say, I know today social media has influence", Guardiola said, before questioning the veracity of the reports.
