Starbucks unveils its new Macchiato drink with the help of Ariana Grande

"We've always been fans of Ariana Grande's and were excited to work with her to celebrate our shared love of clouds", a Starbucks spokesperson said about the reports.

"Our Cloud Macchiato is light and airy with layers of fluffy foam, cascading espresso, vanilla-flavored syrup and a drizzle of caramel served over ice".

Grande recently seemed to hint about a Starbucks promotion after tweeting an emoji that included clouds, coffee and a heart. In her own tweet, the singer gave us more emojis before tagging Starbucks and then adding the date, "3/5".

Great artists understand their fans, and Grande knows that her devoted followers will eat up everything she puts in front of them, in this case literally.

Starbucks' newest beverage might just have have you on cloud nine.

Creators of the Cloud Macchiato were reportedly inspired by leche merengada, or "meringue milk" - which is a summer drink enjoyed by people in Spain.

Starbucks is offering an updated version of its classic caramel macchiato, called the cloud macchiato, and has tapped pop icon, Ariana Grande, to help market the drink featuring whipped cold milk foam.

Ariana has now taken to Twitter to promote the drink.

Fans online joked that they would purchase a grande in the drink as a playful pun on Ariana's last name.

Ariana Grande has always been the unofficial Queen of Starbucks. She posted a short clip of herself drinking the Cloud Machiato with an Instagram filter on, and noted that she was using a metal straw to be environmentally conscious. Also, the stores are selling Lemon Cake pops to provide a citrus burst to the sweet treat.
