When the students told her "some scientists say we have 12 years to turn this around", Feinstein answered "Well it's not going to get turned around in 10 years". "I know what I'm doing", said a feisty Feinstein.

In a press release Friday, Feinstein said: "Unfortunately, it was a brief meeting but I want the children to know they were heard loud and clear". Dianne Feinstein's debate with a group of school children over climate change policy, captured in a video that went viral late Friday, underscored tensions brewing within the Democratic Party between its restive liberal activists and more moderate, pragmatic elected officials.

Feinstein told the woman, "Well, you know better than I do".

A group of protesters from the far-left Sunrise Movement stormed the Russell Senate Office Building Monday, resulting in at least 40 arrests as they attempted to demand action from lawmakers on the Green New Deal. So, I think one day you should run for the Senate.

Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's (D-NY) "Green New Deal" - a massive government takeover of large portions of the US economy - is projected to cost up to $93 trillion. Ed Markey (D-Mass.) introduced the Green New Deal resolution in early February.

As the kids continue to push back at her, urging her to vote "yes" on the Green New Deal even if it is unlikely to pass, Feinstein becomes visibly frustrated and starts to talk over the group.

The senator went on to say that she doesn't agree with what the proposed Green New Deal says - it calls to rid the US of its carbon footprint by 2030 by having 100 per cent of the country's power needs met through renewable energy - and said a separate resolution, which calls for a longer timeline to hike back emissions, according to the New York Times, had a better chance of passing. "But in the meantime, I just won a big election", the senator adds. She offered to provide copies for each child and asked them to review it and let her know if they see issues. "I always welcome the opportunity to hear from Californians who feel passionately about this issue and it remains a top priority of mine". The kids are kinda cute at first as they ask the six-term senator to sign on to a "transformative" plan whose component parts, price tag, and schedule are so delusional that Democratic contenders for the 2020 presidential nomination are dragging it is "aspirational" and Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) waved it away as "the green dream, or whatever they call it".

Cornell University Law School Professor Robert Hockett, an advisor to Ocasio-Cortez, then falsely stated multiple times on Fox News that those statements were not in the Green New Deal. That's when the group followed her up to her office. The plan is aimed at ensuring economic and environmental "justice" while creating unprecedented levels of prosperity for all.

However, the American Action Forum was able to calculate estimates for several items the plan does propose, including guaranteed green housing, universal health care, and food security.
