Rich was outside when it went down, and it appears he was the target of the robbery.

As he was doing so, he reportedly fired as many as ten shots- though nobody on the scene was confirmed shot, at least one was pistol whipped.

Witnesses told TMZ that as many as 10 shots were fired outside the Westlake Recording Studio.

Civilian Public Information Officer for LA's County Sheriff's Office, Nicole Nishida released a statement via HollywoodLife that reads: 'I cannot confirm Usher was involved, but I can confirm the fact that at approximately 3:27 today multiple suspects allegedly robbed victims at a local business and shots were fired'. Hours before the incident happened, Rich took to Instagram and shared a photo of himself posing with stacks of cash.
