BET apologises to Nicki Minaj for 'disrespectful' tweet

In the meantime, the posts have been removed, but Nicki caught sight of them anyway, and her pride will not let her perform at the BET Awards after receiving such shade.

Nicki was due to put on a headline performance at Los Angeles' Staples Center during BET weekend in June but she was encouraging her followers to get refunds on Monday.

BET is conducting an internal investigation into their social media practice after Nicki Minaj condemned an offensive tweet they sent her.

It all started with Cardi B becoming the first ever female rapper to win a Grammy for the Best Rap Album!

"Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj is being dragged by her lacefront", the network tweeted, to which Nicki wasted no time responding...and apparently, she's speaking for all of Young Money Entertainment.

'Young Money will no longer be apart of the BET Experience or award show. However, instead of keeping the caption about Cardi the network made a decision to take the moment to shade Nicki, whose previously had beef with the "Money" rapper.

In another post, Nicki thanked her fans for their support, writing. "We have supported her from the very beginning of her career and will continue to do so moving forward". "And further does not reflect our company values", the network said.

In a statement, BET apologized to Minaj for the "hurt, disappointment and confusion that this post has caused".

The now-deleted tweet involved Cardi B, whom the 36-year-old "Good Form" rapper has feuded with in the past.
