Arsenal haven't kept a clean sheet on the road in the league all season, although when Emery was questioned about this, he didn't seem phased.

The Gunner are now sixth on the Premier League table and after a 2-1 win over Huddersfield on Saturday, Arsenal have managed to keep only a single point difference between them and the fourth spot.

Deep into injury time on Saturday, Adama Diakhaby broke clear on goal, lifted the ball over Bernd Leno and watched as Sead Kolasinac turned into his own goal via an unfortunate deflection.

Denis Suarez will have to be patient for his first league start as an Arsenal player, with the star named on the bench for the match against Huddersfield. But Emery insists his side remain on track for a top-four finish and a return to the Champions League. "It is my personality (why he was so animated), if in one moment I think it is negative, I would not do it".

Next up for Arsenal is two games against BATE Borisov in the Europa League, followed by two home games in the league against Southampton and AFC Bournemouth - four winnable games that would all bolster the Gunners chances of Champions League football next season.

Huddersfield pressed and harried but rarely troubled the Arsenal goal in the first half, with the difference in quality showing as the visitors doubled their advantage through Alexandre Lacazette's 10th league goal of the season a minute before halftime.
