If you opt for the special Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled - Nitros Oxide Edition, you'll get an extra playable character in the form of Nitros Oxide.

It's releasing June 21, 2019, under the title Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled.

As with Activision's other retro re-skins, the stages themselves appear to be like for like with the original, but are layered upon with a massively improved level of detail that breathe new life into the game. The classic racing game has been remastered with handsome graphics, and online play.

This remaster follows the overwhelmingly successful Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, which recreated the first three original PlayStation One classics.

Wilson also told IGN Beenox's plans for the audio component of Nitro-Fueled, for those wondering if its score will be intact.

"We wanted to keep [the sounds of CTR] as close as possible, so we're remastering the original soundtrack".

Added into the game will be the addition to play as villain Nitros Oxide, who is unlockable via Adventure mode challenges.

With online multiplayer and four-player split screen, Crash Team Racing looks to be an awesome recreation of one of the best Mario Kart competitors ever made.

While you can unlock Nitros Oxide and his kart as in-game rewards from Adventure Mode in the standard edition, the digital-only Nitros Oxide Edition comes with them unlocked from the start.
