Tyler Perry pays off $434K in layaway orders at Georgia Walmarts

Perry posted a video telling his followers that if they had layaways at the Walmart stores in East Point and Douglasville, Ga., before 9:30 a.m. on December 6, 2018, that they would only have to pay a penny to retrieve them.

According to TMZ, sources close to the generous situation explained that Perry wrote a couple of "big checks" to two Atlanta area Walmart stores on Thursday to cover the cost of any outstanding layaway items that were registered. "So I just wanted to go ahead and tell you!" "So, Merry Christmas to everybody".

He said he did so in cherishing that he's fortunate enough to help people out at the holidays.

"I know it's hard times, a lot of people are struggling", Perry said.
