The 61st Grammy Awards nominations announcement will be taking place on Friday and you can catch all the action live right here. Instead, country singer Kacey Musgraves beat him to the punch with a nomination for album of the year.

THE GREATEST SHOWMAN has been nominated for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media and "This is Me" from the soundtrack was nominated for Best Song Written for Visual Media. While the duo did secure three nominations including, Best Urban Contemporary Album, Best R&B Performance, and Best Music Video for "APESHIT", folks are big mad that they were not nominated in some of the major categories, specifically Album Of The Year.

Yet Western Washington's humble Americana star found herself - deservedly so - nominated for a whopping six awards, trailing only King Kendrick (eight) and the "God's Plan" rapper (seven) who recently rocked the Tacoma Dome.

Perennial favorite Taylor Swift appeared to fall out of grace, however, earning just one nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album for "Reputation". Another notable omission from the top categories was singer Ariana Grande, whose "Sweetener" album is shaping up as one of the year's biggest commercial successes.

One of the nominees is Greta Van Fleet, whose debut album, "Anthem of the Peaceful Army", was released too late for Grammy consideration, though the MI band had played festivals - including Lollapalooza in Grant Park - on the back of a pair of 2017 EP's and a major-label marketing push. Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper also picked up four nominations for the song "Shallow" from A Star Is Born, although the film's soundtrack itself wasn't eligible, per The Hollywood Reporter.

The Invasion of Privacy rapper woke up on Friday to a total of five nominations, making her and Lady Gaga the most nominated female artists at the 2019 Grammys. His album "Ye" did not receive any nods. While she's having a more hard week than Lamar after announcing her separation from husband Offset, hopefully the Grammy news will continue to lift her spirits. And "Liquid Melancholy: Clarinet Music of James M. Stephenson" - an album by CSO assistant principal clarinet John Bruce Yeh - was nominated for best engineered album, classical (engineered by Bill Maylone and Mary Mazurek).
