We saw Samsung show off some notch possibilities last week at their developer conference - seen below - and from the leak it seems that Samsung are opting for the "Infinity-O" option, as much as we would prefer the "New Infinity" display. The device will feature three rear cameras, including a standard shooter, a wide-angle lens, and a telephoto camera. With the exception of the Galaxy S8, which was delayed due to the overheating battery issue that did for the Galaxy Note 7, Samsung has used the Mobile World Congress tradeshow to unveil its latest flagship Galaxy S handset every year since the Galaxy S5. Exynos 9820 is the successor to the current generation Exynos 9810 that is now powering the Galaxy S9, S9 Plus and the Galaxy Note 9. The last premium Android smartphone from the company to feature a flat screen was the Galaxy S7 launched in early 2016. While the USA and Chinese variants will come powered by the all-new 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, the other markets will be getting the Exynos-powered variants. The 9820 builds on the strengths of this year's 9810 - which powered the global variants of the Galaxy S9 and Note 9 - by introducing a fourth-gen CPU and an LTE modem that can hit up to 2Gbps with 8x carrier aggregation.

Samsung has just announced the next generation of its flagship Exynos System-on-Chip (SoC), the Exynos 9820. As a result, the Exynos Galaxy S10 variants may offer significantly better CPU performance, though Qualcomm's chips were traditionally ahead of them in graphics processing department. That particular device is rumored to support 5G New Radio connectivity but may only end up being sold in the company's home country. That's precisely why insiders now appear to be convinced Samsung will be going all out with the Galaxy S10 line, seeking to convince its existing customers it's time for an upgrade, in addition to attracting new consumers to its mobile ecosystem. It'll also be interesting to see if it powers some AI-based surprises in the 'Galaxy F, ' a foldable phone that the firm teased earlier this month and is expected to launch next March.
