Vijay-starrer Sarkar’s problem scenes to be cut?

Tamil Nadu politics turned ugly on Thursday night after a sensational tweet by Sun Pictures, the makers of controversial film Sarkar, said that cops had arrived at the residence of film director AR Murugadoss to arrest him.

Chennai: With the ruling AIAMDK opposed to the Vijay-starring "Sarkar" over certain scenes and a character's name, the producer and director of the Tamil movie have obtained CBFC's permission to voluntarily delete some visuals and mute some dialogues, said an official.

The AIAMDK government under late J. Jayalalithaa offered free mixer, grinder, laptops and others to the poor. Senior leaders of the AIADMK government in Tamil Nadu warned filmmaker AR Murugadoss and team with dire consequences if they don't listen to their demands.

The Madras High Court restrained the police from arresting AR Murugadoss till 27 November after the director filed a plea seeking anticipatory bail, according to Hindustan Times. The ruling AIADMK party members who are part of the state cabinet threatened the makers of "Sarkar" to take legal action if the objectionable scenes are not removed with immediate effect.
