For other teams around the league, though, the fact that one of he most potent offenses around just got better should have them anxious. Drew Brees dropped back to pass from his own 28 and threw an absolute dime to Michael Thomas streaking up the sideline. This doesn't mean they're waiting to the end of games to score points, as they have 10 combined touchdowns in the second quarter through eight games. Thomas then went to the goal post and lifted up the padding around the base of the post, where he had hidden a cell phone. Controversy soon followed as he pulled out a flip phone and put it to his ear.

I don't think that penalty should've been called but the Saints' excessive celebrations after every single play they make should be looked at. Nope, that honor belongs to Joe Horn. who did the exact same thing as Thomas.

Horn said he also let Thomas know that he ordered his No. 13 jersey to wear when he comes to any Saints events - "hopefully the Super Bowl".

In 2009 the Saints scored 15 touchdowns combined via rushing and receiving. Thomas will likely smash those numbers.

There's no doubt that Bryant's size and big play ability can eventually lead to the Saints offense becoming the best in the league, in which case affecting the seeding of other NFC teams. Horn said Thomas didn't tell him the celebration was coming.

"I loved the celebration", Thomas said.

Horn, however, still lays claim to the cell phone celebration.

Thomas finished 211 yards and a touchdown on 12 catches in the Saints' 45-35 win.
