Over parts of three minor league seasons with the New York Mets, Tim Tebow has hit just.244 with 14 homers and a.686 OPS. With new general manager Brodie Van Wagenen taking over in 2019, Tebow's rise will continue, and the outfield prospect could very well make his Major League Baseball debut this upcoming season.

The Amazins' are expected to keep Tom Slater as their assistant hitting coach, while the future of Ruben Amaro Jr. (1st Base Coach) and Gary Disarcina (Bench Coach) is still to be decided.

Brodie Van Wagenen's first official act as the New York Mets' new General Manager was to make some changes to the coaching staff. As The Post first reported last week, Omar Minaya is remaining with the team as a top adviser to Van Wagenen.

NY went 77-85 in Callaway's first season as a general manager, and Callaway drew attention for game management.

Roessler was promoted to hitting coach from assistant when Kevin Long left for Washington after the 2017 season.

Van Wagenen also met with 20-year-old shortstop prospect Andres Gimenez. Under Roessler, the Mets ranked 15th in the National League in batting average, 11th in on-base percentage and 12th in slugging percentage and runs scored.

Van Wagenen attended the Arizona Fall League All-Star Game last weekend, met with player development staff and scouts, and also had dinner with Mets prospect Peter Alonso, who homered in the game on a 103 miles per hour pitch from Toronto's Nate Pearson.

Want your voice heard? Bones will stay with the organization according to Puma, but the Mets will have a new bullpen coach. These moves will likely be the first of many in a busy offseason for the New York Mets.
