Roughly eight years after they first started dating, John Mellencamp and Meg Ryan are planning to tie the knot.

Meg was seen out and about this week, sporting what appeared to be an engagement ring.

Ryan then announced Thursday on her Instagram that the two were together with a amusing drawing of the pair and a simple caption that read, "Engaged!" They then rekindled their romance and were linked again past year.
