Funeral plans are pending for Utah Guard major

Military officials say a major in Utah's Army National Guard who was also the mayor of a city north of Salt Lake City was killed in Afghanistan after being shot by a member of the Afghan security forces. "Whether the Republicans or the Democrats win, I hope that we all remember that we have far more as Americans that unites us than divides us".

The incident was the second such insider attack in less than two weeks, after an Afghan commando killed one person and wounded two other people on October 22.Taylor leaves behind a wife and seven children ages 11 months to 13 years. We wanted to help.

An Afghan National Army (ANA) pilot Abdul Rahman Rahmani who served alongside Maj. A GoFundMe page that was set up to support his family had reached nearly 80 percent of its goal of $250,000 by Sunday night. As of Monday at noon, that page has raised $292,000.

Rahmani said Taylor always volunteered for tough assignments, was humble and "a true patriot".
