Vulkk's thoughts: I am so thrilled to hear that not only my favorite character from Rogue One gets his own TV Show, but Diego Luna is returning for the role as well.

It's not a particularly original design (that sounds more or less like a cable bundle, as Vulture's report notes), but it's a fine contrast to the algorithmic content categories employed on Netflix, Disney's big rival streaming service. This will mark the second live-action Star Wars series for Disney+, the upcoming streaming service. One of those is a Star Wars product that will bring back one of Rogue One's most beloved characters.

While Jon Favreau's The Mandalorian is n full swing, just a little while ago Disney CEO Bob Iger announced what the next live-action Star Wars series would be.

Luna will reprise his role as rebel spy Cassian Andor, the cocky daredevil who helped Felicity Jones' Jyn Erso steal the Death Star plans in the hit 2016 movie.

Disney+ will mine the Pixar character pantheon to create a new animated series based on the Monster's Inc franchise. "I have so many memories of the great work we did together and the relationships I made throughout the journey". The show will focucs on the Rebellion during the years before 'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story'.

Jon Favreau is now hard at work on The Mandalorian, but we still don't know who will be running things with this new untitled Cassian Andor series.

The untitled series is described as a spy thriller that will explore tales filled with espionage and daring missions to restore hope to a galaxy in the grip of a ruthless Empire. We'll be sure to keep you posted as more details on the project are made available. We still don't even know when Disney+ will launch other than it will happen in late 2019.
