Mowry and her husband, former Fox News reporter Adam Housley, discovered this because Alaina Housley's friend posted on Twitter that Alaina is unaccounted for after a 28-year-old gunman shot up the bar.

"Our hearts are broken. We just learned that our niece Alaina was one of the victims of last night's shooting at Borderline bar in Thousand Oaks", the couple said in a statement issued to E! "We thank everyone for your prayers and ask for our privacy at this time".

Her niece's suitemate sent a tweet at 5:27 a.m. EST asking people to look out for the missing woman, identified as Alaina Housley following the shooting at the California bar, according to People Magazine. "Can you please DM me your information?" the host wrote back. Two of her friends were able to escape by jumping through a broken window, they are now being treated at the hospital with severe injuries.

"My gut is saying she's inside the bar, dead", he told the LA Times.
