- Britain's Prince Charles has pledged not to interfere in the affairs of state when he becomes king, seeking to dispel concerns about his past activism on issues ranging from global warming to architectural preservation.

He says: "I asked him to and I think he knew it was coming and he immediately said "yes, of course, I'll do whatever Megan needs and I'm here to support you".

Britain has a constitutional monarchy, where the monarch has a formal role in the formation of governments.

"I'm not that stupid", Charles said when asked if his public campaigning would continue after he succeeds his mother, Queen Elizabeth II. The eldest son of Queen Elizabeth II - formally known as the Prince of Wales - has always been seen as interfering because of his private lobbying of ministers and public statements on a range of subjects from architecture to the environment. "I don't think people realise quite how kind he is". "So of course I understand entirely how that should operate".

But he defended his activism as heir to the throne, which includes founding the Prince's Trust charity in 1976 to support vulnerable young people.

Virat Kohli causes uproar with 'leave India' comment
Kohli scored 453 runs in the recently concluded one day worldwide series against West Indies. Somehow, the senior BJP leader's statement did not go down well with fans who trolled Swamy.

"You don't say. But I always wonder what meddling is, I mean I always thought it was motivating".

Beside his outspoken views, Charles faced intrigue around the acrimonious end to his marriage to first wife, Princess Diana, and hostility in some quarters to his second wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall.

The Duchess of Cornwall says that Charles knows "his destiny" so, she says: "I don't think it does weigh on his shoulders at all". Camilla tells the programme that her husband "wants things done by yesterday", adding that "he's driven by this, this passion inside him to really help".

While the Beckhams are good friends of the royal family - and even attended Harry and Meghan's wedding in May - it turns out VB's dresses aren't such a flawless fit for the 37-year-old royal. Prince William adds: "Having more time with him at home would be lovely, and being able to play around with the grandchildren".

As you know if you have an internet connection and a fledgling interest in the royals, Kate Middleton and Prince William are very much in the spotlight.
