Hitting 43 runs in an over!

Bigger bats, fielding restrictions, smaller grounds and several other factors have tilted the game slightly in the batsmen's favour. The duo slammed six sixes, including two off no-balls, a four and a single to milk the bowler for 43 runs.

The most runs conceded in an over in worldwide cricket is 36 - a six from every ball - which has happened in both limited-overs formats, and twice in first-class cricket but never (yet) in a Test match. Chigumbara while playing for Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club hammered 39 runs off an over bowled by Abahani Limited bowler Alauddin Babu in Dhaka Premier League held in 2013. He then two waist-height full tosses for consecutive sixes. The following delivery was a legitimate one but ended up outside the rope.

He then took a single off the next ball and gave the strike to Carter, who hit the last three balls of the over to the deep midwicket fence to collect three consecutive sixes.

The over read: 4,6nb, 6nb, 6,1,6,6,6.

Georgia Marching Band Spells Racial Slur During Halftime Performance
During the halftime show, band members took to the field, and members of the sousaphone section chose to play a senior prank. Band members typically don't wear the covers on the field, however, because they muffle the sound from their instrument.

Coming in at a precarious 95/5, both Carter and Hampton took their time to resurrect the Northern District's innings. Brett Hampton missed his maiden List A century by just five runs, while Joe Carter went on to complete his ton.

Poor Ludick's figures went from a respectable 1/42 from nine overs to a messy 1/85 from 10.

The pair added 178 runs for the sixth wicket after Northern District was struggling at 95-5, eventually helping their team secure a 25-run victory over Central Districts.

The partnership was also a Northern Districts record for the sixth wicket against Central Districts, breaking the previous mark of 150, set between BJ Watling and Peter McGlashan in 2011.
