Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt to take custody battle to trial

The couple, who split in September 2016, will face one another in court on December 4 - though both may appear by video link - before a trial in 2019.

Continue to fight for their children's 43-year-old Angelina Jolie and 54-year-old brad pitt has not yet can come to a compromise in the custody of their children: 17-year-old Maddox, 14-year-old Paxon, 13-year-old Males, 12-year-old Shiloh and 10-year-old Knox and Vivienne.

Some thought that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were separated but coming to terms with respect to the kids. Angelina reportedly wants sole physical custody of their 6 kids, but Brad wants 50/50 joint custody. Brad's legal team isn't too anxious about that, though, seeing that the actor was never criminally charged with anything.

We're told the custody trial should take somewhere between 2 and 3 weeks, and then the judge has to sort it all out.

The private judge will also have to handle the former couple's property settlement, given they don't have a prenup. The two first met on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith in 2005, and it was widely speculated that Jolie was the reason for Pitt's separation from Jennifer Aniston. Pitt responded with a filing of his own that November, seeking physical and legal custody of the children. Pitt's team retaliated, providing court documents receipts for a $8 million loan he gave Jolie for her current home as well as $1.3 million in bills.
