The young children were crossing the busy Brooklyn intersection of Ninth Street and Fifth Avenue with their pal moms, Tony Award-winning actress Ruthie Ann Miles - the mother of Abigail - and Lauren Lew, the mom of Joshua, when Bruns struck all four of them and another person with her Volvo.

Dorothy Bruns, 44, was found dead in her Staten Island home by a friend on Tuesday afternoon.

Local media reports said Burns was found Wednesday near bottles of prescription pills and what may be a suicide note, however, police would not confirm those details. She claimed she had a seizure during the crash.

Prosecutors say just three weeks before the incident, doctors told Bruns not to drive for at least one year because of a medical issue.

Burns was freed on $75,000 bond in September. Laura Lew and her one-year-old son Joshua (right) were also hit. Both children died in a Park Slope crash on March 5, 2018.
