Dead Brothel Owner Wins Nevada Legislative Seat

Arguably the single biggest victor in the US Midterms is a brothel owner who has been elected as a congressman for Nevada.

The Nevada Independent has called the Assembly District 36 race for deceased Republican brothel owner Dennis Hof.

Police did not suspect foul play at the time of his death and no one who was with him the night before noticed any signs of ill health.

Hof died at his Love Ranch brothel in Crystal, Nevada, on October 16 shortly after having sex with prostitute Dasha Dare.

Because - obviously - he will be unable to formally take his seat at the house, the Nevada Republican Party will now take responsibility for filling his seat.

He ran for office in 2016 as a Libertarian but lost.

Man pleads guilty to killing pregnant wife and young daughters
Colorado law requires that a first-degree murder conviction brings a mandatory life sentence without the possibility of parole. A man charged with killing his pregnant wife and two daughters will avoid the death penalty after pleading guilty.

Hof was found dead at his Love Ranch brothel about an hour outside Las Vegas. He had spent the four previous days partying with notables from the adult film industry and political world, like Jeremy and Joe Arpaio, the former Arizona sheriff who was convicted of criminal contempt of court but pardoned by Trump.

Hof, a reality TV star of the HBO show "Cathouse", died last month at the age of 72 after a weekend celebrating his birthday. Nye County encompasses the largest swath of the district, so its commissioner will have the biggest say, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. This year, he ran as a Republican and earned backing from former Trump advisor Roger Stone and tax-cut activist Grover Norquist.

In a June interview from one of his brothels, Hof said his political fortunes had parallels with those of U.S. President Donald Trump. Most owners keep a lower profile than Hof did.

When Hof died, it was already too late to remove his name from the ballot, and ballots had already been printed and mailed.
