PS4 exclusive Days Gone delayed once more

Where the title was once set to release on February 22, 2019, Days Gone will now release on April 26, 2019. Today, the developer, alongside publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment, announced that the title has been delayed by a little more than a month, to April 26, 2019. This time, the reason for the delay was due to February having too heavy a lineup, and a delay giving time for Days Gone to release when there's not many competing games, as well as allow Sony's Bend Studio more time to polish the game.

"While the studio is eager to see Days Gone in the hands of fans, Bend Studio will take the opportunity to further polish Days Gone", he added.

In other Days Gone news, last month fans got to see a brand new look at the game during an event in Tokyo.

United Kingdom hate preacher Anjem Choudary released from prison

Days Gone is the first to flinch in the game release death race now slated for 22 February 2018. Players will adventure through shattered landscapes while riding out not only dynamic weather cycles but also attacks from humans, hungry wildlife, and the ravenous "Freakers" alike. Maybe the game really does need a lot more polish, or maybe the studio had its eye on trying to recapture some of God of War's magic when it released in the same week in April a year ago. No doubt Days Gone would have held its own sales-wise against a title like Anthem, but it's better not to take any chances.

The blog post also provided details of when the likes of Deracine and Everybody's Golf VR will launch, but it didn't go so far as providing a release date for Media Molecule's innovative game-creating effort Dreams. Luckily, Sony Bend now has a lot of time to help convince PS4 owners why Days Gone is worth playing.
