This week Google announced a new feature its Maps: the ability to search for electric vehicle charging stations. Now, Google's done something about it.

The latest upgrade from the tech giant has added the locations of electric vehicle charging stations to Google Maps.

Google says each station will be accompanied by key information about each station including types of ports available, and how many, as well as the charging speeds of those ports (although we had trouble finding that information on Australians locations when we checked it out ourselves).

Users will be able to supply their own information, too.

Additional details from drivers, including photos, ratings, reviews, and questions will also appear in search results.
