Stardew Valley Is Headed To Smartphones With iOS Version Arriving October 24

Here's why I'm posting the news here: players will be able to transfer their save data from the PC version to iOS, taking their farms and all their chums with them to gaze longingly into Clint's dead eyes on the bus.

If you haven't heard of Stardew Valley, it's basically Harvest Moon but a pixelated version. The mobile port is being developed by The Secret Police, rather than the teams now working on porting multiplayer into Stardew's console versions.

Stardew Valley developer Eric Barone revealed that his popular farming simulator will be ported to iPhone later this month.

Touch-screen controls and redesigned UI have been developed for the mobile version. The iOS version will arrive first, but the developers are now working on finishing up the Android version, so we should get more news on an exact launch date soon.

The iOS version launches on October 24, but there's no launch date for the Android port right now. Of course mods are not supported, but at least you can still take your farm on the go. The game will cost £7.99 / $7.99 / €8,99 and will not feature any in-app purchases.

Barone also says iOS players can transfer their PC saves to mobile via iTunes - hopefully Android players can transfer their saves too. With the release of Android Nougat and Vulkan ...

The internet just broke with the news that Stardew Valley is coming to mobile.

"And I'm sure that's nice for Appleers", you snidely butt in, "but I'd like to remind you that on RPS, PC stands for "personal computer" not "pocket computer".
