The day we had only dreamed about is finally upon us.

"The PSN Online ID Change feature beta will be a part of the PlayStation Preview Program, and will become available to select users that have pre-registered as testers for previous PS4 system software betas", said Sony. The long-fabled PSN name change will finally be a reality. For those that do get access, you'll be able to do your first change for free.

Virgin to be in space 'within weeks'

Google Pulls Back the Curtain on Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL
On the Pixel 3 you'll have a 5.5in FullHD+ OLED screen, and on the Pixel 3 XL a 6.3in FullHD+ OLED display stares you in the face. Pixel 3 now starts at $799 ($150 more than last year) while the Pixel 3 XL starts at $899 ($50 more than last year).

If you ever wanted to change your PSN Online ID on your PS4 but were frustrated at the lack of ability to do so, there is some good news on the horizon. The gist is that the first hit is free, and after that you'll have to pay the nominal fee of $9.99 that Microsoft also charges. This can not be changed after setting it, so your old ID be forever stained onto your profile if choose to do so. The preview program is scheduled to end in November, with the feature officially rolling out in early 2019. Once you decide on which name to display, it will be permanent. However, some PS4, PS3, and PS Vita games will not be compatible, which could cause problems. Sony will allow you to display both IDs at the same time so your friends will know you made a change and don't get confused.

While all PlayStation 4 games published after April 1, 2018 will be compatible with this new feature, anything published before that date is not guaranteed. At that time, a full list of compatible games (those published before April 1, 2018) will be released.
