The latest Aquaman trailer clocks in at a whopping five minutes, showing so much plot and so many scenes it's hard to follow. Today's Nerdist News is diving in to bring you the most promising details from New York Comic Con's extended look at the world's first ever Aquaman movie.

Well, that is certainly five minutes of Aquaman. Pictures has released the first image of Jason Momoa wearing the iconic costume of the titular hero he plays in the comic-book adaptation, Aquaman.

The movie looks pretty good, but if you're looking forward to it, beware that the trailer seems to give away a lot of plot points. The film also stars Amber Heard as Mera, Willem Dafoe as Vulko, Temuera Morrison as Tom Curry, Dolph Lundgren as Nereus, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Patrick Wilson as Orm/Ocean Master, and Nicole Kidman as Atlanna. The film, starring Jason Momoa (Justice League, Frontier) in the title role, reveals the origin story of half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry and takes him on the journey of his lifetime - one that will not only force him to face who he really is, but to discover if he is worthy of who he was born to be... a king. Even Wonder Woman and Suicide Squad followed Snyder's lead, while offering some tonal shake-ups with their respective stories.

When Warner Bros calls this an extended trailer, it isn't kidding.

Aquaman hits cinemas December 21st.
