The Steelers are well represented among the nominees for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2019.

Sharpe had 169 career receptions, 2,497 receiving yards and 17 career touchdowns.

After getting picked No. 7 overall, he went on to make five Pro Bowls, with three seasons leading the National Football League in receptions and making First-team All-Pro.

Bailey began his career with Washington in 1999 as the seventh overall draft choice. Bailey, who also dabbled on offense, had 52 career picks, made three All-Pro teams and, yes, also was on the all-decade team of 2000-2010.

The list includes 47 offensive players, 39 defensive players, five special teams players and 11 coaches.

Also on the ballot are former Chiefs coaches Marty Schottenheimer and Dick Vermeil. Most notably, the list of 102 modern-era nominees contains former Super Bowl champion Head Coach Tom Flores. The finalists will consist of 15 modern-era finalists, along with the senior finalist, Johnny Robinson, and the contributor finalists, Pat Bowlen and Gil Brandt. Inductions will be in early August in Canton, Ohio.

According to the official release: "Eighteen finalists will be presented to the full 48-member Pro Football Hall of Fame Selection Committee during its annual meeting on "Selection Saturday", the day before Super Bowl LIII".
