Eminem has revealed that he went "too far" during his diss track aimed at Tyler, The Creator, after receiving backlash for using a homophobic slur.

The "last straw" came when Tyler tweeted that Eminem's song with Beyoncé, Walk on Water, was "horrible".

The "Lucky You" rapper received a lot of backlash for calling Tyler, the Creator a "f*****" on his new album, Kamikaze.

Eminem explained that he kept coming back to that word when putting the album together because he didn't "feel right" about it, so his team "spun the word back" to obscure it, but he now realizes everyone could still understand what he's saying.

Eminem said his "breaking point" came when Tyler criticised his Beyoncé collaboration "Walk On Water". "I'm not gonna be America's punching bag and (let) motherf-ers think it's cool and safe to say whatever they f- they want about me".

There's been more beef in the world of hip-hop lately, thanks to an ongoing row between Eminem and Machine Gun Kelly, it all started after MGK called Eminem's daughter Hailie "hot as fuck" back in 2012.

Many people believed Eminem had gone after MGK because of comments the OH rapper made about his daughter Hailie, but now Eminem has cleared up any confusion and explained exactly why he dropped the diss. The reason I dissed him is because he got on - first he said, 'I'm the greatest rapper alive since my favourite rapper banned me from Shade 45, ' or whatever he said, right? Like I'm trying to hinder his career.

Adding: "They were basically just asking questions about my lyrics to see what the intent was behind them and if I was making an actual threat or just expressing myself".

"I don't give a fuck about your career".

As one of the world's most prolific rappers, it's rare you'll find someone willing to challenge Slim Shady for fear of reprisal.
