With no serious primary challenges on the Republican ballot, most media attention has focused on the party's gubernatorial primary, which pits Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo against actor and activist Cynthia Nixon. "So one of the most important issues to me is full funding more particularly more equitable funding for education which is something that I've been fighting for 17 years", said Nixon.

Mr. Lobl, who acted as a liaison to the Jewish community when he worked for Mr. Cuomo, declined to comment.

"That's my go-to. It's not uncooked oatmeal but it's pretty delicious and I say - don't yuck my yum". But Nixon pointed to a slew of recent upsets ー Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Andrew Gillum, and Ayanna Pressley ー that have fueled her optimism for Thursday's primary.

Cuomo and the state Democratic Party also got into hot water after the party sent a false mailer suggesting that Nixon was anti-Semitic. Please encourage your friends out here in the Empire State to vote this Thursday, 9/13!

"Together, we can show the entire country that in the era of Donald Trump, New Yorkers will come together and lead our nation forward", Nixon wrote Wednesday evening in a final message to supporters.

Should Cuomo win, he would be heavily favored against Republican Marc Molinaro, the Dutchess County executive, in the November general election.

Novichok Suspects: We Only Went To Salisbury To See The Cathedral
Russian Federation has repeatedly denied any involvement in the case. "We didn't have it", Boshirov said. Asked whether they had recently been to any European state, the two said they had.

Cuomo's campaign said the "inappropriate" mailer was "wrong" and should not have gone out.

Cuomo has denied knowing about the mailer. Party Chair Geoff Berman said that the mailer was a "mistake", but did not say who was responsible for the flier or whether that person was being fired. Dealing with state corruption was the only issue that likely Democratic primary voters saw Nixon doing a better job on than Cuomo in the September 10 Siena poll, 42-39 percent. Earlier polls had given Cuomo a more than 30 percentage point lead.

Some primary voters might be inspired by the controversies to hit Cuomo with "a "rolled up newspaper across the nose" by voting for Nixon, according to political consultant Bill Cunningham, who worked in the past for Gov. Mario Cuomo".

Cuomo's advocacy for same-sex marriage, gun control and other progressive causes might bolster him against Nixon.

Mr. Maloney is seeking to become the state's first gay attorney general, while Ms. James and Ms. Eve are running to become the first black woman elected to statewide office in NY. Though she's always been an activist for her favored causes of education and same-sex marriage, running for office is new to her.

Several competitive primaries for the state Legislature will also be decided, including some high-profile contests featuring challengers hoping to retire state senators who were former members in the Independent Democratic Conference, a now defunct faction that broke with mainline Democrats to support GOP control of the chamber.
