7 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, will be the team's starting quarterback for Week 2 after Nathan Peterman turned in another disastrous performance to open the season.

Just like that, the Buffalo Bills are handing the keys to their rookie quarterback.

The Bills officially tabbed Allen as the starter Tuesday, and he'll be under center for his home debut Sunday afternoon against a Chargers team looking to get back on track after a Week 1 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Allen fared moderately better than Peterman after coming into the game in the third quarter, tossing 74 yards on 6 of 15 attempts.

"I don't feel a need, honestly, to elaborate (on my decision)", McDermott said after the announcement, according to ESPN's Mike Rodak. "I thought he had pretty good command of the huddle and the offense at the line of scrimmage".

Producer out as CBS cleans up after harassment claims
My language was harsh and, despite the fact that journalists receive harsh demands for fairness all the time, CBS did not like it. Fager did not respond to a request for comment on Wednesday. "This action today is not".

This insane stat shows how much Raiders missed Khalil Mack vs Rams
Rams cornerback Marcus Peters capped LA's win by intercepting a Derek Carr pass and returning it 50 yards for a touchdown. Contract holdouts are fairly typical for star National Football League players.

A giant flag is covers the field before the game between the Miami Dolphins and the Buffalo Bills at Ralph Wilson Stadium on November 8, 2015 in Orchard Park, New York.

Peterman went 5-18 for 24 yards and two interceptions before getting replaced by Allen in the second half.

Allen got his first taste of the National Football League last week in the Bills' 47-3 loss in Buffalo.

Allen gets a tough first opponent in a Chargers defense that could be without star defensive lineman Joey Bosa.
