Amid explosive allegations that some White House officials are actively working against President Donald Trump's agenda, Donald Trump Jr. told ABC News the number of people in the White House that his father can trust is smaller than he'd like.

Woodward, who has shared in two Pulitzer Prizes, staunchly defended the integrity of his reporting and said the book "is as carefully done as you can do an excavation of the reality of what goes on". "The government doesn't keep a balance sheet like that".

Speaking with far-left Today Show co-host Savannah Guthrie, the legendary Watergate reporter sounded the alarm about how President Trump is jeopardizing national security and the economy.

While the Federal Reserve controls the money supply, U.S. Presidents have traditionally stayed out of the decision making of the Fed. He further claimed there were "whispers" in the cabinet of a concerted effort to remove President Trump from office by invoking the impairment clause of the 25th Amendment.

"A source tells us he [Trump] shouted out 'Bring back Hope Hicks!' Apparently, he preferred her response to ["Fire and Fury" author] Michael Wolff".

Asked later whether the White House would list all the things in Woodward's book that are wrong, Sanders said such an exercise "would be a complete and utter waste of our time, so no". In one part, Woodward writes: 'Mattis was particularly exasperated and alarmed, telling close associates that the president acted like - and had the understanding of - "a fifth- or sixth-grader"'. "And I think we can break history", he added. "That doesn't mean they won't try to create something but, again, I'm not".

Several administration officials, including Defense Secretary James Mattis and chief of staff John Kelly, have denied the anecdotes and quotes ascribed to them in Woodward's book.

The former first lady "dauntlessly challenged the usurper when a lot of men backed out", daughter Maryam once remarked. According to sources, the Sharif family has made a decision to bring back Begum Kulsoom's body to Pakistan, it said.

Sanders said it's up to the Justice Department to make that determination. Woodward also writes that Trump refused to send any additional aid.

"I'm not because I know what I did and I'm not anxious about it", he said, again denying that he spoke to his father about his June 2016 Trump Tower sit-down with a Russian lawyer promising dirt on Hillary Clinton. "These quotes were made up".

Woodward and Bernstein's reporting led to a Congressional investigation that would have most likely ended with Nixon's impeachment. However the President resigned on August 9, 1974.

"It's frankly, I think, sad and pathetic that a gutless, anonymous source could receive so much attention from the media and I think that the American people would be much better served if we actually spent some time talking about some of the really important things that are facing our country and the things that this administration is the doing to help fix them", she said.

"Pakistan isn't helping us".

On the eve of its release, the president took to Twitter with a preemptive round of attacks, denouncing as fiction Woodward's reconstruction of scenes in which frustrated aides scramble to contain the mercurial president's reckless impulses. At a National Security Council meeting earlier this year, January 19, this whole question comes up about money and the president says. these are verbatim from a note taker there: "What do we get by maintaining a massive military presence in the North Korean Peninsula?"
