According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. had sought to sign the actor for a long-rumored cameo in Shazam! Now, netizens are flooding social media with their reactions, and you can probably guess how things are going.

"This effectively removes an actor of Cavill's age from the storyline's equation given that Superman, aka Kal-El, would be an infant, according to DC lore". As revealed by The Hollywood Reporter, Cavill is set to exit the role of Superman, a character he's played in the DC Extended Universe since 2013's Man of Steel. There have been few concrete reports around plans for a Justice League sequel anytime soon. The contract talks were allegedly for an appearance in next year's Shazam! Now, it seems Cavill is out as Superman entirely, and fans wish they could have seen the actor sink his teeth into the role again. While the actor's take on Clark Kent was often praised, the material given to Cavill was deemed less-than-super, and the DCEU dragged down its founding superhero with its half-hearted stories.

Google announced the date of the announcement of the new flagships
Then last year's Google Pixel 2 was announced on Wednesday, October 4 - the exact same date as the original phone's debut. The Pixel 3, meanwhile, hasn't been leaked this extensively but its photos too are easily available on the web.

The outlet contends the studio is turning a page on its cinematic universe, with a focus shifting away from the Man of Steel and toward a Supergirl film, reported just last month to be in development. If Cavill is out, it looks like the two founding pillars of Warner Bros' DCEU might be leaving crimefighting behind.

Cavill's recent announcement that he was taking the lead in potentially multiple series adaptation of The Witcher books and computer games already raised suspicions.
