Donald Trump has called a former senior adviser a "dog" who is a "crazed, crying lowlife" after she released a tape in which the president expressed surprise at learning of her dismissal.

White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders, asked if she was surprised by Manigault Newman's animus toward the president, told reporters she was disappointed by what she called the former aide's self-serving and false claims.

On Aug. 12, NBC News and other media aired a tape that Manigault Newman said she secretly made of Kelly firing her in December.

Tuesday's gesture from Corke marks the latest instance of a White House reporter deferring to a colleague during the briefings, where correspondents typically jockey for the chance to get questions in.

"I don't have that word in my vocabulary, and never have". "She never made it, never will", Mr. Trump said in a stream of angry tweets.

"He knew that John Kelly was going to take me into the 'Situation Room, ' and lock me in there, threaten me, and say that things were going to get ugly for me, and there would be damage to my reputation", Newman said of Donald Trump. During that time, she was technically working for the United States government, not a private entity under Trump's control.

"The first thing he said was that the Hillary Clinton people started the birther movement; 'Omarosa, you're so naive, '" she said on MSNBC.

On CBS Tuesday, Manigault Newman released another audio recording that she said showed campaign workers discussing an alleged recording of Trump using the racial slur.

Trump campaign files arbitration action against Omarosa alleging breach of secrecy agreement
But this was clearly something about which Trump staffers were concerned and can't now dismiss as a baseless rumor. So yet again, we have a situation in which the Trump team's flat denials are apparently roundly disproved.

The re-emerged in recent days, amid the release of her tell-all book, "Unhinged: An Insider's Account of the White House".

Political consultant Frank Luntz said Manigault Newman mentioned him as one of the sources of the racial slur claim-an attribution he denied.

The second source confirmed, however, that the campaign broke off discussions after officials learned why Kelly had dismissed her.

Asked if special counsel Robert Mueller, who is investigating possible coordination between the Trump campaign and Russian Federation, would be interested in any of them, she said, "If his office calls again, anything they want, I'll share".

Omarosa served as Director of Communications for the White House Office of Public Liasion between January 2017 and 2018, when she was sacked. "I can't wait until Trump's forced to resign and President Mike Pence tweets 'Please ignore this disgruntled employee, he has no credibility!'"

A feud between the two has escalated as Mrs Newman promotes a new book that is very critical of him.

Donald Trump's election campaign has begun legal action against an ex-White House aide and reality TV star for allegedly breaching her contract. He followed that comment up on Monday with a Twitter tirade of insults directed at Newman who he said "begged" him for a job with tears in her eyes.
